A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR HI MASTERS - Jack White(National Director) Another summer bites the dust and the really meaningful season is not too far away. Time to start thinking about getting out the ski stuff, repairing or replacing damaged equipment, and trying to lose those excess pounds some of us have accumulated. Here are a few highlights from the past season.. The MWC was held in Grindelwald, where 31 Canadians participated, and the women were sensational. The Nationals at Sovereign Lakes were wonderful as well, with some of the best ski conditions and race organization we could ever hope for. Valcartier was awarded the MWC for 2002. We made a donation of $1000 to CCC Junior program. Marty Hall continued to give us helpful hints, and John Roberts has started the Canadian Masters website, check it out. The "MCC" remains financially sound as we move into the year 2000. All of the directors are here to serve the membership, so please contact us with any ideas or concerns you may have. Enjoy the autumn and have a happy and safe ski season WORLD MASTERS ASSOCIATION MEETING Mariazell MASTERS " NATIONALS " IN NORTH BAY Ski Draw Okay Masters, let's make this year's draw even better than last, remember you are supporting a very hard working and deserving group of cross-country skiers involved in the CCC Junior program. |

| New Director I would like to welcome Andy Dwilow, who is the new Provincial Director for Manitoba. He takes over from Robert Stewart, who has done a great job during the past 4 years. But now it's time for a break. Volunteer positions such as these require time and effort, especially during the ski season, and one can only do this work for so long. Now Robert will have time to train and ski really fast. All the best Robert, we hope to see you in North Bay. |
